Private Harp Lessons
Begin your journey with the harp! I work with each student to create a lesson plan based on your unique goals and interests.
You'll learn proper technique for playing the harp, as well as how to care for your instrument (like replacing strings!), body awareness and stretches to support your playing, and tools to develop your creative style.
Performance opportunities are available with the Western North Carolina Chapter of the American Harp Society for students who are interested, though performing in concerts is not a requirement.

Want to do a test run?
I offer 1-hour "Intro to the Harp" sessions for prospective students and anyone just interested in experiencing the harp!
This 60-minute "Intro to the Harp" session is held with my instrument in my music studio in Asheville, NC. You'll learn how to pluck strings to get a good sound, how to do a glissando (the harp-iest of all harp things!), and play a simple duet with me by the end of class.
"Intro to the Harp" is beginner friendly - neither music experience or experience reading sheet music are required.

- 45-minute lesson $100
- 60-minute lesson $125
Lesson Fees - Supporter Tier
The generosity of students in the supporter tier support scholarship student availability.
- 30-minute lesson $110
- 45-minute lesson $150
- 60-minute lesson $185
Lesson Fees - Scholarship
Sliding scale based on individual need and availability.
Additional Costs
Additional costs to consider when starting lessons include:
- Instrument Rental (Deposit + monthly rental fees, generally ranging $75-150/month)
- Harp Accessories including strings, bench and music stand
- Cost of sheet music arrangements
